While ABC’s hit show “Dancing With the Stars” doesn’t air until Sunday, Mar. 17, you can kick up your heels and get in the dancing spirit a week early at the North Park Ice Skating Rink’s annual ice skating show “Dancing Under the Stars” on Monday, Mar. 10 in Allison Park.

This year’s show kicks off at 7 p.m. with a disco-inspired routine to “Shake Your Groove Thing” followed by a variety of group and solo programs featuring members of the North Park Skating Team, North Park coaches and learn-to-skate participants as well as special performances from the skating team’s graduating seniors.

Tap your feet and clap along to classic dance numbers like The Electric Slide, delight in the beauty of the black and white swans during the skate team’s “Swan Lake” tribute and be entertained as the rink’s youngest skaters skate to 2013’s viral hit “What Does the Fox Say?”

Admission to this evening’s “Dancing Under the Stars” show is free; however, all attendees are asked to bring a canned food item for donation the North Hills Food Bank. All seating is outdoors and limited, so spectators are encouraged to arrive early and dress accordingly for weather.
