Dance for a cause - a great collaborative of DC area dance enthusiasts, promoters and simply community united by a great cause - help Angel Wings International build a new clinic in Haiti - call your name on the dance floor! World renowned performers Lee El Gringuito Smith and Kat La Gata, DC's "Godfather" of Salsa Gogo Earl and project supporter Tina Barksdale join forces in their fundraising efforts through what they do best - dance!
This dance fundraiser aims to contribute to Angel Wings International building a health clinic in Jacmel, Haiti so that a sustainable foundation of healthcare could be fostered in the region. You can be a part of this initiative as well by attending a series of Salsa and Bachata classes on February 6 at 8 pm. Half of your cover of $10 will go directly to health clinic fund.
Tina Barksdale, fundraiser supporter and promoter, is very passionate about this initiative. "I feel this is what life is all about...creating relationships that have sustainable positive impact on our global community. This event is a perfect example of how giving can be enjoyable and go a long way to make the world a better place," she added.
Club Heaven and Hell in Adams Morgan is located at 2327 18th St NW and is the host of the fundraiser. If you can not attend please donate online. By the end of February, organizers of this fundraiser will depart to Haiti to start construction!
