Silva is hurt, will need surgery, says Dana White.
Yesterday we reported that Anderson Silva says he wants to fight Frank Mir and was feeling great. Here is Silva's actual quotes,
Silva recently told Fighters Only that he is “200 percent healthy and there’s no injury.”
“I don’t know anything at all about any elbow injury,” he said. “I wonder who hurt me?”
Anderson Silva has elbow surgery out for 6 or more months

Silva says he hopes to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir next.
“I’m 200 percent healthy and there’s no injury. UFC can set the next fight whenever they want, I’m ready. I’m interested in fighting Frank
However his boss Dana White begs to differ and told Sherdog,
“Contrary to whatever the hell he is saying -- he is ‘200-percent healthy,’ -- he’s having some bone spurs removed from his elbow which is a simple little procedure that happens, but you have to have recovery time,” stated the UFC president.
He also revealed that UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar recently underwent a similar procedure. So who are we to believe. We are picking Dana White, since he writes the checks and if he says Silva needs surgery and will be out for a few months, then it is a safe bet Silva will not fight for the UFC for the next couple of months or longer, no matter what he says.
