Former Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino has admitted to fathering a daughter with CBS production assistant Donna Savattere in 2005. Marino paid her to keep quiet, GossipCop reported on Thursday, Jan. 31. Savattere gave birth in June 2005.
Dan Marino, who has worked as a sports analyst for CBS Sports since 2003, will be part of this Sunday’s Super Bowl telecast.
“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”
Dan and Claire Marino have been married since 1985 and have four biological sons and two adopted daughters from China.
“My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together. And we continue to be a strong and loving family.”
Reportedly Donna Savattere was paid millions to care for Marino’s seven-year-old daughter Chloe. Marino has reportedly been in contact with his daughter with Savattere.
The Marino’s son Michael is autistic, and the Marinos have been devoted to raising awareness about autism. Miami Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center is an internationally recognized center that offers comprehensive care for autism and other developmental and cognitive disorders in children.
