Dan Marino love child reports confirmed by Hall of Famer; CBS talks job status (Video)

On his 28th wedding anniversary, Dan Marino confirmed he has a love child with another CBS employee. The NFL Hall of Famer and NFL analyst for CBS released a bombshell statement today (Thursday) admitting the Jan., 31 report in the New York Post is true -- he fathered a child with a then 35-year-old production assistant in 2005. Marino's short and direct statement reads:

“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved. My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together. And we continue to be a strong and loving family.”

According to sources the married father of six had an affair with Donna Savattere while they were both working for CBS. The affair resulted in a now 7 year old daughter, Chloe, with whom he keeps in touch. Sources say the former Miami Dolphins QB paid Savattere an undisclosed sum of money to keep quiet and move to Texas.

Savattere reportedly no longer works at CBS, but according to the network, Marino is still on staff and will be on air Sunday. “Dan has said all there is to say on this matter, and will be in his usual role on our broadcast Super Bowl Sunday.”
