Dan Marino has a love child. The former NFL player fathered a baby with a CBS employee back in 2005 and paid her to keep it a secret. On Jan. 31, Gossip Cop reported that Dan cheated on his wife with Donna Savattere and got her pregnant. The whole thing was kept quiet thanks to Marino's deep pockets. Since the news broke, Marino has admitted it's all true, and he has released a statement.
"This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved," Marino said.
Dan Marino's love child is his seventh child. He has six kids with his wife, Claire, whom he's been married to for 30 years. It is unknown if Claire knew about the child, but many feel this story is "news" to her as well. Based on Marino's statement, it doesn't sound like he and Claire are ending their marriage, despite this bombshell.
"My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together and we continue to be a strong and loving family," Marino continued. According to the report, Marino has paid millions of dollars to support his "secret" daughter, Chloe. The exact amount of money he paid is unknown.
Dan Marino's love child has had contact with him over the years. It is unknown how close the two are, but Dan has reportedly been in her life.
