Thursday, the New York Post reported that former NFL quarterback, Dan Marino fathered a child in 2005 with a CBS employee; the breaking news has created an Internet Buzz. Dan Marino is currently a CBS analyst and had an affair with another CBS employee, Donna Savattere. Their daughter, Chloe was born in June 2005.
Dan Marino released this statement Thursday:
This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.
My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together. And we continue to be a strong and loving family.
Marino is a former Hall of Fame NFL quarterback and has been married to wife, Claire for 28 years. The couple has four sons together and two adopted daughters.
The New York Post reported that Marino "agreed to pay millions" after Chloe was born and he asked Donna Savattere to move New York to Texas to keep their secret.
Marino will be part of the Super Bowl hosting on CBS for Super Bowl Sunday. He is currently one of the members of CBS' The NFL Today pregame show and has been doing that for almost ten years.
