Dan Bongino: Very dangerous development in America

Dan Bongino was in the right place at the right time to see a lot of what goes on in the Obama Regime. He was a member of a group of true professionals that protect our president, and know as the Secret Service. Dan is also a candidate for Congress in district number six in Maryland and has written a book about his experience as an officer in the Secret Service, titled Life Inside the Bubble: Why a Top-Ranked Secret Service Agent Walked Away from It All.

The Blaze is reporting that Dan Bongino is warning of a very, very dangerous development in our country. What is that development? The growth of bureaucracy in the federal government is so excessive it is getting out of control.

“My experience in the government is, when something arrives on your desk, you assume it’s been through these massive layers of bureaucracy and management – that you don’t even ask the basic questions,” Bongino explained.

Bongino says this threat of excessive bureaucracy is a major issue whether the question is about that a threat that may be external or if an action of government is constitutional. Bureaucracy is the complete absence of common-sense and far too often, as Bongino has pointed out, bureaucracy leads to some of the results of government policy that we often see.

When Beck asked whether the nation is facing more or fewer dangers than in the past, Bongino didn’t hesitate before responding: “I think it’s actually more dangerous — the irony being that as we’ve expanded our surveillance safety net and become a literal surveillance state – this isn’t a movie anymore, it’s very real.”

“It’s bureaucratic laziness at its worst,” Bongino told Glenn Beck. “Instead of looking at common sense measures to combat a real threat going forward, we’re now blanket surveilling everyone, (who have) now become de facto criminals.”

Bongino also pointed out that “Liberty's a zero sum game...It can't belong to you and the government at the same time.”

No doubt Glenn Beck's comment to Dan Bongino, that he “can't think of anybody” more qualified to serve in Congress right now will get agreement from most who read this article.

Dan Bongino represents issues and concerns, and as a citizens with his background and experience, is someone who is far more qualified to serve in Congress than almost any of the lawyers and career politicians that are just about filling up Congress right now in both political parties.
