Matt Damon "House of Lies" buzz is running rampant. Damon appears as a guest star on the Showtime comedy soon and a sneak peek of the episode is drawing a lot of positive reaction. According to a report from Monday night (Feb. 4), Damon is scheduled to appear on the Feb. 10 episode of the show. That's next Sunday, giving the network a full week to create as much buzz as possible for viewers.
"House of Lies" is part-way into its second season on Showtime and stars Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell. The pair is part of a group of management consultants who try to show businesses which direction they should be heading. It has garnered a lot of critical acclaim and fans have found it very interesting to see Cheadle and Bell in roles that are completely different from anything they have done before.
Now Matt Damon joins "House of Lies" for its next episode, playing himself in what already appears to be a very funny appearance. He is reportedly meeting with the consultant group to start up a charity that will compete with one that George Clooney has going. The episode is sure to bring a lot of humor, especially because Damon can just be himself in this role. It seems like a ploy for ratings by Showtime, but they definitely chose the right actor to create a positive buzz.
