As the Obama Administration reels from revelations of scandal in the Project Gunwalker case, damaging photos have surfaced within the last 24 hours showing Barack Obama campaigning with the New Black Panther Party.
The photos, taken in 2007 during the Presidential campaign, were obtained by Andrew Breitbart and posted on Pamela Geller’s Atlas Shrugs–one of the top blogs in the nation.
Said Geller:
There is no doubt in my mind that this is the reason why Obama's Department of Justice dropped the open and shut case against the Black Panther party when they threatened voters with weapons at Philly voting booths during the presidential election in 2008.
One of the photos in question is posted in the upper left corner. Obama is shown marching with the New Black Panthers in a rally during which he shared the podium with Panther Chief Malik Zulu Shabazz. More photos of the event are posted both on Geller’s site and Breitbart’s Big Government.
The photos were intended to be published in a new book, released today, entitled, Injustice–Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department, by J. Christian Adams, published by Regnery. Adams left his post under pressure at the Department of Justice after blowing the whistle on the corruption behind the Department’s dropping of its case against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation during the 2008 Presidential election, during which videos were taken showing the group threatening voters with billy sticks, clubs, and baseball bats just outside polling places. Witnesses at the scene had also registered complaints against the group.
But the photographer withdrew his permission to Regnery to publish the photos, although he had posted them publicly on a Flickr account. Breitbart was able to capture the photos before the photographer took them down.
There is precedent for publishing such photos under the terms of ‘Fair Use’ and the First Amendment, particularly when the photos in question can be shown to be vital to the public interest.
Adams stated the following concerning the photos:
Somehow, the fact that the future President of the United States shared a podium with leaders of the New Black Panthers, marched with them, and received a public, formal greeting from their party has vanished from the history of Obama’s campaign. Apart from [Juan] Williams’ single dispatch, no other media outlets ever reported it.
Juan Williams, who now works for Fox News, was a reporter at the time for NPR. He was the only reporter in the mainstream media who did a story on Obama’s involvement with the New Black Panthers.
The reason the story is vital to the public interest is that shortly after the Obama Administration dropped the case against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation, a ‘Malik Shabazz’ appears on the White House registry as a guest. This is not to mention Obama’s cozy relationship with the group prior to their intimidation of voters.
Is this the same Malik Shabazz who heads the New Black Panthers? And if so, what was he doing at the White House?
The New Black Panther Party is not just another innocuous political entity in America. They are considered to be an extremist hate group and have been designated as such by both the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center, both of which tend to favor Leftwing causes.
Formed in 1990, the group is a militant black separatist organization known for promoting racial violence against Jews and white Americans.
