Dam Short Film Festival Turns 10 Years Old

The Dam Short Film Festival will celebrate its 10th year from February 12 – 16 at the historic 400 seat Boulder Theatre in Boulder City, Nevada with a total of 26 programs and 171 short films being screened. This year’s shorts include: “American Lawn,” “Better Off Alone,” “The Blind Artist,” Crimson’s Kiss,” “The Hard Day Knights,” “In the Light of Day,” “La Dolce Fantasia,” “Master of Disguise,” and “A New Leaf”.

There will also be three Retrospectives showcasing Comedy, Animation and 10 Years of Nevada Films. Among the special events taking place are two panels for filmmakers on Thursday and Saturday, a Meet-n-Greet on the 13th at The Spillway inside the Boulder Dam Hotel and an Awards Gala on Sunday, February 16th featuring Red Carpet Arrivals from 5:45 – 6:30pm, an Awards Presentation Ceremony between 6:30 & 7:30pm and a Screening of the Awards Winning Film from 7:30 until 9:30pm. Afterwards the festivities continue from 9:30 – 11:00pm with a Post Awards Party at Milo’s Cellar.

Tickets are $7 per program with each program containing between 3 and 15 short films. You can buy advance tickets through PayPal. Each program page includes a PayPal button for that show. There is no fee for purchasing advance tickets; however, you must pick up the tickets at the Boulder Theatre Will Call table during the festival and provide a photo I.D. or PayPal receipt.
