The 'CBS 11 Make It a Day at the DMA Family Celebration' will take place this Saturday from 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Highlights of the celebration include art-making activities, music, performances, interactive experiences with artists, family tours, sketching in the galleries, and more. Meet Arturo, the Museum’s mascot, and pick up your Arturo tattoo!

Studio Creations
11:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Art Studio, C3
Make a creative creature! Discover shapes and abstract figures in works of art from the C3 Gallery and then use your imagination to create a creature using an artistic form.

Cloudy Art Flipbooks
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., C3 Tech Lab
View cloudy skies in works of art and then forecast skies of your own to make a 3D cloud-filled creation.

WeatherLab with Larry Mowry

Meet the Artist! Young Masters: Advanced Placement Student Art Competition
3:00–4:00 p.m., C3 Theater
Meet student artists as they discuss their works of art with a CBS news anchor. This exhibition is funded by the O’Donnell Foundation and showcases local high school students in Advanced Placement art classes.

Family Film
4:00-4:30 p.m., C3 Theater
Watch Dropping in on Picasso and learn from Puffer the bird as he interviews Picasso about his artwork in this entertaining animated video. (20 minutes, for all ages)
