Dallas Mavericks parade route and nearby hotels

The Dallas Mavericks crushed the Heat in an NBA championship series that won’t be soon forgotten by Dallas fans. To celebrate, the team’s owner, Mark Cuban (yes – the owner, not the city taxpayers), will throw a giant party to commemorate the event. On Thursday morning at 10 AM, thousands will gather along a parade route downtown that will presumably stretch from City Hall Plaza along Young Street to Houston and appropriately end in Victory Park at the Maverick’s home stadium, The American Airlines Center.

Though as of this morning the parade route hasn’t been finalized, it is presumed that it will follow the prematurely-released parade route of 2006, when fans expected to celebrate the championships of both the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Mavericks at the same time. Parade officials have, however, confirmed that the route will begin at City Hall and end at the American Airlines Center.

Because the parade will begin early in the day, I’m listing the hotels conveniently close to the presumed parade route. Most will require a bit of walking, but only a few blocks. And no doubt, because the Mavericks grabbed their title on a Sunday night, the parade will only be the beginning of the celebrations that are likely to last all day Thursday and stretch through the weekend.
