Dallas embraces the 'Harlem Shake' and welcomes a white buffalo to town (Photos)

Downtown Dallas has proven to be quite lively today with a couple unique activities as people got out to enjoy the beautifully sunny and crisp day.

Over at the Klyde Warren Park, almost a 1,000 people got together to stage a Harlem Shake video shoot for the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau. Granted, most of these spoof videos typically have a :30 running time but, like all things Dallas, if you are going to do it here, you are going to do it big!

All the amazing volunteers had an absolute blast as they attempted to follow directions - some with much better success than others. The finished video clip has already been posted online at this link and it bears watching numerous times to try to catch all the whimsical action.

Any Downtowner knows that if your vehicle is needing some fuel, and your tummy is needing some fuel, then the main place to satisfy both needs is at Fuel City on Riverfront Boulevard at I-30. This action-packed joint is well known for their tacos being served 24/7 almost as much as they are known for having a small herd of Texas Longhorn cattle in the adjoining field.

Today, Fuel City introduced a beautiful white buffalo to their fans and patrons. The 4-year old buffalo goes by the name "Lone Star" and she is also expecting a calf this summer though it is unknown if it will be black or white. What is known, is that the newborn will be named "Dallas".
