It looked like the Dallas defense was going to shut down Arizona when the Cowboys forced them into a three-and-out on the first Cardinals drive. However, when Dwayne Harris fumbled the punt, and Arizona got the ball back on the 22-yard-line, the defense had to go right back out.
This happened over and over throughout the game, but the defense never broke. Despite Arizona taking over 22 yards from the end zone, they only got to the seven and had to kick a field goal. In all, Dallas turned the ball over three times in their own territory, and all three times the defense limited Arizona to a field goal.
By the end of the game, Dallas lost to the Cardinals by a score of 12-7 and all the Arizona points came from field goals. Yes, if Dallas wants to win this season, their offense has to hold on to the ball and the Cowboys turnovers have to end, but their defense is showing that they will do their part to make sure that the Cowboys are always in a position to win.
