If you’re Orlando Scandrick, the Dallas Cowboys might have an idea what you should “Turn down” for. According to reports on Monday, Jerry Jones stated that Scandrick has been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s drug policy.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer talked to Orlando Scandrick after the suspension was announced, and the corner said that he took something while he was on vacation in Mexico. What did he take, you ask? Well, Orlando Scandrick tested positive for MDMA. In other words, Orlando Scandrick decided to take an illegal drug (Molly) that’s known as the ultimate party drug.

It’s on the banned list as a performance enhancer, but what exactly was Scandrick trying to enhance during his vacation? There’s no doubt Scandrick was penciled in to start at one of the corner positions, but his four game absence should make way for other Cowboys to make an impact.

Dallas’ defense already had major problems in 2013, so the loss of one of their best players in the first month could be a knockout blow. If the defense doesn’t improve, the inflated hopes of a Cowboys’ playoff run will be dashed.

Orlando Scandrick is entering his seventh season, all with the Cowboys. In 2013, he totaled two sacks and two interceptions, while making 64 tackles. Scandrick has five total interceptions in the NFL.

It’s good to know that the Dallas Cowboys are out there living the life, but a boneheaded decision to “pop molly” could be the final nail in the coffin for 2014.

The Dallas Cowboys start the season with a home game against San Francisco. Then they travel to Tennessee and St. Louis, before heading home to face the New Orleans Saints. We will know early if Dallas has some post season hopes.
