Dallas Brew Bus Makes Stops for Suds

Just a year ago, Matt Dixon and partner, Jordan Moon set out to bring craft beer in North Texas from the dimly lit pub into the limelight of the Dallas social scene, by taking imbibers straight to the source-craft breweries!

They rounded up several local breweries and created a path that would be tread by none other than the Dallas Brew Bus. The bus will serve as the designated driver for participants, taking them to several breweries over the course of about 6 hours, casually spending about an hour and a half at each brewery.

The brewers will have the chance then to explain the process of brewing thoroughly and provide some background into the flavors and ingredients they specialize in and indulge guests in up to four samples of their best.

Not to worry though, Dixon assures, "We hope to have all walks on our tours - those brand new to craft beer who never been to a brewery as well as the 'beer nerds' like us." All are welcome on the Dallas Brew Bus.

To wash down the beer, guests can get lunch from the nearby food trucks, as well as bottled water on the bus. The bus ride is not for idle chatter, but for trivia to win brewery swag and other treats.

The inaugural tour in February sold out in just a few days, packing the bus with 34 thirsty riders. However, there is another tour on March 23, with seats still available. Dallas Brew Bus opens its doors to repeat riders though, visiting different breweries on different tours for variety and fun. Everyone on board will also get a commemorative 6oz snifter style glass to take home and reminisce. Tickets are $50 and are going fast.
