Code 58 (FOX) is shooting in Dallas and bikers are needed as extras.

There is a new production shooting in Dallas entitled "Code 58" and they are looking for bikers for a shoot this Wednesday, 3 February 2010.

Ideally, they want Harley-Davidson's so if you have a HOG, are male, and are available this Wednesday for a full day shoot (somewhere in the Dallas area -- those details won't be released until tomorrow night and only for those that are chosen to participate), feel free to submit your information including:

  • Name
  • Age
  • Type of motorcycle
  • Photograph of you (and ideally with your bike)
  • Email to:
  • Make sure the subject line for the email has "BIKERS FOR CODE 58"

Sorry ladies - but the "extra" spot for the female biker has already been cast. The production company is still needing 5 additional male bikers to cast.

Code 58 is a series on FOX that was previously billed as “Jack and Dan”. It is currently filming predominately in the downtown Dallas area and stars Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing). Code 58 is an actual Dallas Police Department dispatch signal for “routine investigation”. With two new television series currently shooting in Dallas -- Code 58 and The Deep End (ABC) --, the downtown and Deep Ellum areas are a hotbed of activity. It harkens back to the days when Walker, Texas Ranger was shooting here and it was just stupid fun to watch to see the venues they shot at and the friends we had that were extras.

So if you are available this Wednesday for 8 hours and willing to earn a whopping $64 (possible overtime) for just the sheer fun of having you and your motorcycle on a television series, apply now by sending your info to

I've been an extra on movies before and back in the 80's we got paid $75/$100 per motorcycle plus $50/$75 per person. I got $75 to walk around with Tom Cruise in Born on 4th of July. I was always hired to be a biker, a Viet Nam Vet or a Hippie (talk about type casting). Whaz-up?

Oh, fun! I wish I lived in Dallas but I don't ride a Harley so I guess it wouldn't matter anyway.
