Fans said goodbye to J.R. Ewing on the last episode, but his legacy will continue on as his family fights to find out who shot him. After the funeral, J.R.'s man brought new information to Bobby and John Ross. The death of the elder Ewing was not a random robbery. Someone did kill him, and Bobby will take them down when the time is right. The final moments also revealed that the man was on a missing to find Pam when he died. This search and the search for his killer will be the focus of the remaining episodes this season. Patrick Duffy said the following about what is coming next on the series, according to TV Guide:

"The writers are brilliant at putting these scripts together, and I think they will fill the void left by J.R. The character of J.R. is still going to be an influence of this show. We're not going to have Larry playing that part and another actor isn't going to play that part, but all the things that J.R. could have done that will come back year after year to create a problem for the Ewing family — that's just like having Larry on the set."

As for Pam, the character was last seen on the original series, and she was played by Victoria Principle. She will not return to this series, but the search for her character will continue. Cynthia Cidre, an executive producer on the series, said the following about the search for Pam Ewing, according to TV Line:

"We were always going to have Christopher go looking for his mother, and I can’t reveal to you how it turns out, but I think it’s pretty clever!”

On the episode teased in these photos, the family will start to work toward finding J.R.'s killer. Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:

Can not wait to see @julie_gonzalo @AudreyLanders on Screen in @Dallas_TNT as Mom & Daughter #DALLASTNT

"Dallas" will continue to air on Channel 26 in Tempe on Monday nights.
