Dale Robertson dies at age 89

Dale Robertson has died at the age of 89. The actor, who is best known for his roles in television and movie westerns passed away on Tuesday, CBS News reported on Feb. 27.

According to the report, Robertson’s niece, Nancy, said her uncle died at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California, following a brief illness.

Dale Robertson’s work will be remembered long after his death, as he leaves behind a legacy of films that are sure to be enjoyed by fans of western movies in the years to come.

During his career, Dale starred in several films and television shows such as, "The Boy with the Green Hair" and the Joan Crawford flick "Flamingo Road." Later in his career he began landing more high-profile parts such as Jesse James in “Fighting Man of the Plains.”
