Now Dale is honored with global recognition for his outstanding work as a Broadway Producer. Dale Badway is a leader in arts, bringing award winning musicals that inspire our society. Dale puts another youthful face to Broadway Global Producer of the Year, and continues producing live theatre that inspires future Producers who may want to bring art to the stage as their legacy.

"If we are to find future global investors to bring art to the stage, we must honor those who are doing it right! "Pippin" Producer Dale Badway is a leader in our arts society, and not just for bringing award winning art to stage. His determination to inspire is seen daily, through his use of social media post. Our hope is Broadway Global Producer of the Year will inspire many new investors to create art for the stage. You could be our next Broadway Global Producer! Create or bring plays, musicals, live producions, that leave a legacy as arts leaders.

Broadway productions or live theatre demonstrate what is important to the globe, and our society during the time they are produced or created. Theatre is like a global history book. Imagine if we put Broadway plays and musicals in a time capsule. Now let us open up those plays and musicals 100 years from today. What would that current society think of the live theatre we found as inspiring at that time? What would they think of the productions that were produced? Do they demonstate dirversity, political views or religious beliefs that may bring us closer together, by understanding our differences and embracing or similarities as a global society. Technology has brought instant news around the globe. The future of arts lies within new technologies. We may soon witness live productions produced on stage in the MIddle East, Asia, anywhere in the world, with live audiences seeing productions together, being translated like you would see going to the Opera. The sky is the limit to arts!

Like the "Producer's Puzzle" commissioned by Broadway Global, created by award winning artist Steve Marshall we must commission art, plays, and musicals that bring the globe together, not just for today, but for those who look back as art and theatre as our history. Hopefully one hundred years from today, our society will look back and see our Broadway Global Poducers as leaders in the arts, not just bringing shows to Broadway because they broke box office sales as a film.

Steve Marshall created the official art for arts, a painting that will honor the winners each year called "Producer's Puzzle". Last years winner Jordan Scott Gilbert (Ghost) The 2012 Broadway Global Producer of the Year, also recieved a "Producer's Puzzle", as the painting was just commissioned and designed this year. Being the youngest producer on Broadway Jordan Scott Gilbert inspires our youth that age is not a factor in creating or producing art for the stage.

"I'm honored to be presenter of The 2nd Annual Broadway Producer Of The Year Award, for which I was thrilled to be the first ever recipient of. Very few know what it takes to bring a show to Broadway. This award, along with the Tony Award, lends a much needed recognition to Producers who perpetuate our billion dollar Broadway industry." Jordan Scott Gilbert (Ghost).

We must honor those who are bringing exceptional plays and musicals to the stage, not just as entertainers but also Broadway Producers. Dale Badway is the epitome of a Broadway Producer. The 180,000 voters got this right! The song "Magic to Do" from "Pippin" takes on a whole new meaning. Producers have the responsibility to create magic for our society by the works they bring to the stage. "Broadway Global's magic is to be accessible to every artist, as every Broadway Producer just can't be all the time. But, through the help of Theatre Chat 30 City/State Facebook groups, the voters found one Broadway Producer that they feel was the best, his work with "Pippin" and his daily post on Social Media may have been the major reason. We are happy to add Dale Badway to our award winning family." BroadwayGlobal.

Dale Badway is also professional Actor, Singer. Producer, Executive Producer and Creative Director of Badway Productions, Dales' Broadway Producer credits include The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, Bonnie & Clyde -the Musical and Tony Award winner of Best Musical Revival "Pippin".

"We are honored to name Dale Badway The 2013 BroadwayGlobal Producer of the Year." Dale was honored with art for arts, a painting called "Producer's Puzzle" that has made its' way around the globe from Japan. The message in the painting is clear, art for creating arts. The commissioned painting is named "Producer's Puzzle" designed by award winning Steve Marshall. Visit where you can find more of Steve's amazing artwork. Steve Marshall supports "Smile Train," which is an international charity that provides cleft palate surgery to those in need, as well as providing training to doctors in the region. Steve donates a portion of the profits from his artwork to this charity.

Steve Marshall is the "Official BroadwayGlobal Artist," who has created the "one of a kind" award/painting, by using elements from the torn earth of Japan, highlighted with gold leaf, the "Producer's Puzzle" creates a globe by using elements just like a Broadway producer uses to bring art to the stage. Steve is an award winning Magician now living in Japan, and also one of the best painters in the world. His work on stage as an entertainer, as well as his breathtaking paintings are invaluable to our society." BroadwayGlobal.

"I am extremely honored and proud to receive the Broadway Global Producer of the Year Award. I was delighted to be nominated, but to win is ExtraOrdinary! As Producers, we try to find great works by great writers and then bring them to life through amazing talents and hope audiences share in the love we put forth. We also try to discover the next great generation of artists. The creators and dreamers of tomorrow; the people who make life worth living. The actors, musicians, writers, designers, singers, dancers and anyone bringing beauty, happiness and life to this world with their talents." Dale Badway.

"I believe Social Media plays a tremendous role in the future of Broadway, Theatre, and the Entertainment Industry as a whole. Through this massive resource of unlimited reach, the hearts and minds of countless people can share in the beauty of the Arts in real time, inspiring many to become involved. And giving them hope and inspiration that they can. That it IS possible. As President of the Theatre World Awards, which since 1944 honors 6 Actors and 6 Actresses annually for outstanding Broadway or Off Broadway debut, I see the delight, joy, and total fulfillment the Arts bring to those inspired and determined enough to follow their dreams, no matter what! I would like to thank my wonderful business partners, Michael Alden and Ken Mahoney. I would also like to thank the entire Extra-Ordinary Cast, Crew, and Creative of Broadway's "PIPPIN". And of course Richard Cameron and everyone with Broadway Global! One last credo I live by everyday: Don't die with your music still inside of you." Dale Badway.

Our music was creating Broadway Global Producer of the Year. The final piece of the puzzle for awards has been placed. If we are to find new, up and coming Broadway Producers, we must acknowledge Broadway Producers who are bringing compelling works of art to the stage. Steve Marshall captured the magic of a Producer, those who put all the elements of production together to create art for the stage. The "Producer's Puzzle" will be given each year to The Broadway Global Producer of the Year. Each painting is a bit different, as the elements used to create them are unique. The design is the same, but the paintings cannot be duplicated. So each winner will receive a numbered "Producer's Puzzle". Steve Marshall's work can be found at Steve donates a portion of his painting proceeds to the charity "Smile Train" who offer cleft palate surgery to those in need.

Broadway Global Producer of the Year is chosen from nominations from Social Media. Theatre Chat has over 30 City/State Theatre Chat Facebook groups. Arts lovers were asked to post, or email their choices for The 2nd Annual 2013 The Broadway Global Producer of the Year. Some of this years Broadway Global Producer of the Year nominations included Broadway stars like André Robin De Shields (The Wiz, The Full Monty) and even Broadway Cares Executive Director Tom Viola. "We left all the nominations in for the final decision this year, because Broadway Stars like André Robin De Shields bring value to a production, just as the name of a Broadway Producer does. Tom Viola is not really a Broadway Producer, but he produces Broadway stars in Broadway Cares events that help raise funding for HIV treatment and education. The nominations were made by a fellow Broadway Producers and we knew it was important to include Mr. Viola's achievements by listing him as a nominee." BroadwayGlobal.

"It is important that you, as arts lovers, know who is funding art for the stage. Just like commissioning a painting, these leaders are creating art that represent the hopes and dreams of our Society. If we are to bring new compelling works of art to the stage, or new revivals of past works that are life changing, we must support Broadway Producers who are representing the social environment. New works that share stories bringing Nations together, by understanding our differences in cultures, but capture our similarities will help the globe become a United Nations in arts." BroadwayGlobal.

The nominees that were chosen through Social Media were: Debbie Allen, Dale Badway, Ken Davenport, Barbara Freitag, Jordan Scott Gilbert (2012 BroadwayGlobal Producer of the Year - co-producer of Broadway's Ghost), Dennis Grimaldi, Roger Gindi, Steve Hendel, Andrew Kato, Tom Kirday, Stewart F. Lane, Charlotte St. Martin, Cathy Rigby McCoy, Tom McCoy, Annette Niemtzow, Will Prather, Michael Rosenberg, Jordan Roth, Scott Sanders, Andre Robin de Shields, Tom Viola, Robert Wankel, Oprah Winfrey. All of these Producers at varied levels are all winners for the arts, but we must acknowledge at least one a year, if we are entice new Producers to develop arts for our society.

BroadwayGlobal and Theatre Chat have become the "open door" an accessible door for anyone who wants to create or share arts on stage internationally. Let's be honest these producers try to stay accessible to the general public, but it is just impossible with the hectic Producer schedules, like nominee Oprah Winfrey. Can you imagine running a TV Network, Magazine, starring in movies, and just trying to do the daily duties that we all have in our daily lives. BroadwayGlobal and Theatre Chat are accessible to all. We can't live in a Broadway Producer bubble, or there is no way to stay informed of issues or compelling journeys inspired by our society.

"I think it's wonderful that BroadwayGlobal honors a producer every year. These producers are the future of Broadway and it's important for us to recognize their hard work, their vision and love for the Arts." N'Kenge (Motown).

This years Broadway Global Producer of the Year Dale Badway has been as accesible, as any Broadway Producer can be... His work to honor artists, bringing Broadway productions to the stage that inspire the globe, and his dedication to not for profits that support health, arts and education are all reasons to acknowledge his achievements. BroadwayGlobal looks forward to all of these leaders joining us as Board of Directors, to choose to honor up and coming leaders in the arts, those willing to create new works of art for the stage. The arts are the future of a true United Nations.
