Dalai Lama stresses dialogue, not violence, to solve problems

The peaceful Buddhist community in Syracuse places an emphasis on peaceful manners to resolve disputes on a daily basis. Heightened cases of bullying in schools and at work coupled with gang violence in the streets of Syracuse has Buddhists in the city working harder than ever to convey a message of peaceful coexistence as being preferable to violence. Buddhists in Syracuse are also deeply concerned about the huge loss of lives in overseas hostilities. And so recent comments by the Dalai Lama in support of dialogue instead of violence to resolve disputes has been well received by the Syracuse Buddhist community.

YC. Dhardhowa has reported for The Tibet Post International "We Must Solve Problems through Dialogue not Violence: His Holiness."  The Dalai Lama has recently commented while speaking to business leaders in Brazil that "the use of force and violence is outdated and that the world must try to resolve differences and problems through dialogue." His Holiness the Dalai Lama has also said that industrialists and business leaders have a responsibility to work to reduce the large gap which exists between the rich and poor. This problem of extreme poverty right alongside extreme wealth appears to be increasing across the entire world.
