Daisy Duke'd: Jessica Simpson's friends worry about her mental health after dog kidnap

After losing boyfriend Tony Romo, celeb beauty Jessica Simpson lost her dog, Daisy, in a coyote attack. Now, her friends fear, is the time they believe Jessica has reached an all-time low.

"I want her to catch a break," one of her friends told People Magazine in an interview.

Since tweeting about her dog's coyote kidnapper last week, Simpson has reportedly gone into a tailspin of emotions, one of her friends quoting this as "the worst place ever" for Simpson.

Earlier this year, Simpson fought off the media's attack on her waistline only to bounce back and lose Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo to a sports reporter. 

Now, Simpson is left without her four-legged bestie to fend off the latest media rumors all alone. The most recent headlines range in attacks from Jessica Simpson being jealous of younger sister Ashlee Simpson for her lucky-in-love life and new found motherhood and being linked to Histrionic Personality Disorder.

"She won't leave her parents' house," a source said. "Whenever things went wrong for Jessica, she reached for Daisy," another source told People Magazine. "Daisy was her security blanket. When people let her down, she always had Daisy."

But the dog getting snatched isn't the last in line for J.Simp. The star is said to be surrounded by a small, but intimate group of friends who love and support her - One of which is celeb hair stylist Ken Paves.

The two went for wine in Cali and passer-bys said Simpson looked to be having a "devestating week". Without a dog in tow, her friend's worry what she'll cling to instead.

"Jessica is very needy. She is very clingy. She is so sweet, but sometimes because of that she's hard to be around. It's not always easy. She hates to be alone."

The source continued saying, "That's what happened with [ex-boyfriend and Dallas Cowboys quarterback] Tony [Romo]. Jessica smothers people. She doesn't really have any hobbies. Daisy was exactly what Jessica needed," the friends told the mag.
