Daily thought: WHM-Sweet Honey In The Rock

In honor of Women's History Month, we wade in a beautiful song, sang by the group, Sweet Honey in the Rock.

The song has been embedded within this article as a video and I hope one and all choose to listen and experience the energy of truth in song. Nature song is also included.

The Women Gather is a song about women of all lands, races and tongues who shed tears and gather in times of sorrow. The song can be looked at as a metaphor for the plight of women all over the world who find sorrow in many of things.

Women are “emotional creatures,” often captured by their empathy for others. Please see the following link for more about women being "emotional creatures:"

Daily thought: UWW-the "girl cell" that all humans...

Women have the ability to feel and understand emotions that are not spoken, always understanding what their children feel, their siblings feel, their parents feel and what their lovers feel.

Horses are said to have an intuition that can sense sorrow, feelings and any pain that lies deep in the heart. Please see and/or research information on equine therapy for more information about how therapeutic horses can be.

Women have an intuition that is very similar to that of horses and it often leads to a deeper understanding of the people in their lives; Understanding leads to a deeper level of patience and a deeper level of patience, because of understanding, often leads women to an undeserved cycle of forgiveness where they are repeatedly wounded in the heart by those whom they love and understand.

The Women Gather is a song about this, “gathering” of women as they weep and plead with their emotional strength as they are constantly wounded by the various “ways” of the world and those around them whom hurt them most.

The women Gather is a song about children as the deliverance and birthing of children is of great concern to all women and as children are lost in war, hate, abuse, neglect, whatever else unnamed, women gather.

We honor Sweet Honey In The Rock for their strength in song. Song is an art and often takes the place of weeping. Women are often left with a song on their heart that they call upon at times when healing is needed and tears are either not enough or too much.

Sweet Honey In The Rock has been singing a-cappella as a group for decades. They often touch on political events but they always touch on the soul through song whatever the theme. Future articles will say much more about the singing group, Sweet Honey In The Rock.

We honor women this Women’s History Month and forever more for their intuition, their song, as they gather together or alone, spilling emotions of old, new and of deep.
