Daily thought: UWW- anatomy and destiny

March 14, 2013 is the last day of Universal Women's Week but March is still National Women's History month.

In honor of the last day of Universal Women's Week, we turn our attention to another profound video derived from TedTalks: Alice Dreger-Is Anatomy Destiny?

The video is embedded within this article and in the beginning, the topic may not sound that interesting but please have the patience and self control to hear what Dreger is talking about as she touches on topics and perceptions that most have yet to even raise a thought of.

Development and ideas of social construction are discussed and very much relevant to Universal Women's Week and Women's History Month.

We honor women for their contribution to life and also for their anatomical identity that is associated with femininity and womanhood. This womanhood and feminine identity is both facilitative and debilitating in society as we currently know it.

Please share your thoughts below or within email.
