2013 has arrived and all the possibilities are now at our disposal. A New Year is always a time when change is welcomed to come into our lives and transform us into that awesome and amazing person we know lives inside of all of us.
As New Year resolutions activate themselves in our minds, it is up to each individual to live up to the new standard they have set for themselves.
As humans, hunger instinct for growth in mind and spirit are always present. Turning the focus to personal growth in mind and spirit void of competition with others is a good way to ensure the results we are seeking.
Competition means one has to analyze another, search for weakness in another, compare their self to another then attempt to redesign the self in such a manner that is mostly an evolution of the person one is comparing the self to.
By choosing to leave competition out of the equation when seeking to grow in one’s own mind and spirit, we open ourselves to more possibilities.
In competition, we set our minds to focus on some aspect that has already been focused on but when we leave competition behind, the human self is allowed to create and expand upon things that have yet to be analyzed, thought of or created.
At times, it is healthy to build upon the ideas and creations of others, reflecting on the evolution of the gaming system is a good example of how when one focus’ on the ideas of others and attempts to optimize, or make the original creation better; Such as Atari to Nintendo to Sega to Play Station to X-Box etc.
However, when one allows the mind to deviate from competition in the aspect of creation, one can invent.
We can reinvent ourselves in 2013. We can choose to maximize our health and challenge our habits by literally turning them off. Turn off your smoking habits, your sexual habits, your eating habits, even if just for a week and find out what your mind can come up with.
You are probably the next greatest thing so take time to allow your mind to show you then show it to the world.
Welcome to 2013!
