Daily thought: imperfections

Our imperfections serve as a reminder of how magnificent we are. Individuality welcomes the unusual aspects of our character as well as our physical make-up.

In character, imperfections show up and remind us of things we need to monitor and work on while things deemed imperfect about our physical appearance remind us to accept and love ourselves the way we are.

One never has to assimilate, pretend or lie to be accepted, one only has to be their true self. If the Sun tried to be the moon we would not have energy, heat or photosynthesis; If the moon tried to be the Sun, women would not have their Moon; Mene (Greek word for Moon)/menstruation-menstrual cycles.

Growing into self is a healthy component and recognition of imperfections will always facilitate that. Growth is unhealthy when we believe we need to grow into the idea that someone else thinks we should be.

Respect of self and others should never be compromised and some social mores are necessity but real beauty always lies in the confidence that self acceptance exudes.

You can be who you are and the more you love it, the more others will too. Most of what we physically believe is an imperfection are the perfect aspects of our own unique appearance.
