In every situation, one chooses how they can feel. There are many assumptions on how one should feel when certain things happen but, it is up to each individual to decide how they will feel about it.
Choosing to be happy can result in stress reduction and promote higher self esteem. One who chooses to find the good in every situation increases his or her potential life span and overall good health.
It would be irrational to promote the idea that one should simply walking around denying that certain events have taken place in their life as denial is never a good defense mechanism to choice.
However, choosing to see the potential good in any event will create more happiness in ones life overall.
Issues that the oppressed suffer from in Sacramento include potential eviction from place of residence, potential loss of job or potential divorce and while all situations seem hazardous to ones health, choosing to reflect on only the good components may be a little difficult but is well worth the challenge.
Choosing to be happy means that you declare you will be happy in life no matter what. You stand up for yourself and make the determination that life has already been hard enough for you but you choose only to live a happy life.

An example could be found in facing eviction: one who is facing an eviction may fall to the depth of despair automatically. In fact, even reflecting on such a possibility can "make" one choose to feel sad and sullen but maybe one hated the neighborhood, maybe one will now be eligible for certain programs that they were not eligible for prior to or maybe the eviction means that they will now start to think differently about how they manage their life and such a thought process can/is priceless.
Choosing happiness in all things takes lots of practice but life is merely a practice all it's own. We can choose to practice being happy every time we are faced with a potentially sad event or we can continue to practice ways to be and deal with being sad.
The choice is always yours.We can transform our brain to create and establish a happy world.
