'300' sequel projected weekend box office winner -- The sword-and-sandals '300' sequel is primed to earn $40m and take the box office top spot over 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman,' according to Variety. The original '300' opened with a $70.8m weekend. '300: Rise of an Empire' got a jumpstart on the weekend by raking in $3.3m in its late-night Thursday showtimes.

'Grand Budapest' opens in select cities, nationwide next week -- The latest Wes Anderson film opens today in New York City and Los Angeles select theaters, but fear not 'Rushmore' fans! Fox Searchlight has released a list detailing when 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' will be opening and in which cities this spring.

First 'Transformers 4' teaser trailer released -- After the Dinobots-tease of a Super Bowl ad, Paramount has released its first full-length teaser trailer ... which includes one of the great trailer quotes of all time: "I think we just found a Transformer." ... 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' opens in theaters June 27.

Finally: watch a 4-minute clip from 'Captain America' sequel -- Marvel Studios has released an extended look at the forthcoming Captain America flick -- which includes new footage not included in the previous trailers. ... 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' opens April 4.
