Daft Punk signs to a new label and releases plans for new album

French electronic duo Daft Punk have revealed they have left their former label Virgin, who they signed on with in 1996. Now they are signed to the Sony owned Columbia records. They also plan to release their fourth album sometime this spring. The pair have been working with Nile Rodgers, as well as Giorgio Moroder on the new record. As of yet, no other details have been released about their new album.

There were rumors flying that the duo would be on the line up for the Coachella Festival, but fans were disappointed to learn their name was not on the list. Their newest album will be a follow up to 2010's “Tron: Legacy” soundtrack.
