SafeSplash Swim School specializes in teaching swimming to children ranging in age from infants (6 months) and up. They are dedicated to developing your child into a confident and happy lifelong swimmer. SafeSplash is proud to be the premier warm water swim school for kids with dedicated indoor teaching facilities in Colorado and California.
Their swim school is different than traditional swim lesson programs in four ways. First, they maintain the water temperature of their pools at 90°. The pools feel like bath water to your child. This is 8°-10° warmer than most recreation centers, and according to the United States Swim School Association, 90° is the optimum water temperature for teaching young kids to swim.
Second, their facilities are dedicated strictly to swim instruction for kids. Since they are not a recreation center, your child is taught in an environment that is not cluttered with uses other than what your child is there for…swimming lessons. No adult workouts, other distractions or limitations during lessons exist at their school.
Third, they limit their group class sizes to a maximum of four students per instructor. This ratio optimizes the individual attention your child receives while they develop their skills.
Lastly, they purify the water in their pools with in-line Ultraviolet purification systems rather than a traditional bleach based system. UV lowers the overall chlorine level in the water while killing all bacteria without the use of chemicals or foreign agents in the process. This creates water chemistry that is extremely safe and crystal clear.
Learning to swim at SafeSplash is fun and successful when you make it a consistent part of your child’s weekly routine. They are open year around, seven days per week for lessons and give you the convenience of choosing a weekly lesson time that is convenient for your schedule.
Similar to any acquired talent, learning to swim takes repetition and consistency. Skills are developed and retained as your child methodically progresses through their curriculum, which they developed specifically for kids. Their teaching philosophy is focused on helping your child have fun while developing skills that will benefit them throughout their lifetime. Their curriculum offers three broad categories of focus: introduction to water and water safety, basic swimming strokes and competitive swim technique.
SafeSplash was founded in 2005 by the parents of two young children who were frustrated with the fact that there were no dedicated warm water swim instruction programs for their kids in the Denver area. They wanted to expose their kids to swimming at the age of 1-2, but they could not find a facility that was dedicated to teaching kids, nor could they find a program that taught lessons in pools that were warm enough that their kids didn’t get cold in less than 10 minutes. Hence in their case, necessity truly was the mother of invention.
