Daddy Yankee headed to House of Blues Orlando

Latin Grammy winner Luis Ayala Rodriguez aka Daddy Yankee is coming to the Orlando House of Blues this week. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico he aspired to play in major league baseball. After sustaining an injury he gave up a career in sports, and became involved on the Reggaeton scene. His first production was called Playero37 which lead his role as Producer for some independent films.

His big break came in 2002 with El Cangri.com and received International success. He followed up in 2004 with Barrio Fino which received numerous awards including a Latin Billboard, and nominations for both a Latin Grammy and MTV Music Award. In 2007 his album “The Big Boss” ranked as a top seller in Latin music charts.

Named by CNN in 2009 as “one of the most influence Hispanic artists”, and winning the title of Urban Latin artist of the decade, this singer continues to rise to the top. Be sure to see 'Daddy Yankee' at the House of Blues on August 14,2010.
