Daddy Cool collects writing by literary fathers for new anthology in 2013

Q. Who's cooler than your Dad? A. A Dad who writes.

If your New Year's Resolution is to read more, or to support local literature, then Artistically Declined Press have a great proposition for you. Their latest literary project is an anthology called Daddy Cool, collecting exclusive fiction and non-fiction by a host of literary Dads writing for other fathers, and their kids. Contributors hail from Oregon, Washington, and even further afield. The anthology is being edited by rising star Ben Tanzer, and it promises to be a must-read for fathers and lit-lovers alike.

Daddy Cool is being funded via Kickstarter, and it's here that your New Year's Resolution comes into play. The project only has a few days left of its Kickstarter campaign, and they're still desperately in need of funds. By contributing in advance of publication you can get your hands on all kinds of goodies, from signed books to exclusive t-shirts and pin badges. Or if you have $350 to spare, you can buy a lifetime subscription to ADP's books, guaranteeing you a copy of everything they publish for as long as you live. If you intend to live beyond 2018, that has to be the biggest and best deal of the New Year.

Here's the book blurb from Daddy Cool's Kickstarter page:

Edited by Ben Tanzer, the ultimate "daddy cool" writer, and author of You Can Make Him Like You and My Father's House (not to mention numerous others), Daddy Cool is unlike any other anthology we've seen in the small press arena or otherwise: fathers (and indie writers) writing for and about kids. There's no age restriction here, you will see work spanning from middle grade to YA, and even writing on parenting itself. All this compiled into one great book, providing a unique experience that can be shared with the whole family.

If you have any interest in new writing, or in cool Dads, then please consider backing them and making Daddy Cool a reality. Who's the daddy?
