A dad disowns his daughter after she disowned her own son because he was gay. On Oct. 4, Newsmax reported that this particular dad wrote a letter to his daughter calling her a "shame" and telling her that he wanted nothing to do with her because of how she treated her child... just because she found out that her son was gay.

"Kicking Chad out of your home simply because he told you he was gay is the real 'abomination' here. A parent disowning her child is what goes 'against nature,'" the father wrote in part. The letter -- which was short and to the point -- went viral after a pro-gay youth organization posted it on their Facebook page.

This dad disowns daughter story is still getting tons of attention -- and people are really happy that this father stood up to his daughter and supported his gay grandson. The mother in this story is taking a lot of heat online -- whether she knows it or not -- and it's not only from gay rights groups, either. It seems as though most people cannot fathom how someone could disown their child in this day and age for being gay.

"You have made a choice of being hurtful, narrow-minded, and backward. So, while we are in the business of disowning our children, I think I'll take this moment to say goodbye to you. I now have a fabulous (as the gays put it) grandson to raise, and I don’t have time for heart-less B-word of a daughter," the dad's letter continued.

Do you support the dad who disowned his daughter in this case?
