As Chicago enjoys the warm summer days, diners are craving bright, lighter dishes. Da Lobsta introduced new menu items that are perfect for days by the lake or nights on the deck.

The five new menu items for summer are lobster kale salad, lobster pasta salad, lobster deviled eggs, Hawaiian lobster sliders and Kettle Chip lobster poutine.

The lobster kale salad offers a delightful balance between the buttery lobster pieces and the bitter kale greens. Tossed in the salad is grilled corn for a sweet crunch, black beans and diced tomatoes. Left un-tossed, guests can dress their salad with the desired amount of dressing. The dressing is tart but does not overpower the ingredients.

A perfect beach food, the Kettle Chip lobster poutine is packaged as a travel food. Served in a potato chip bag, the poutine is a crunchy, cheesy indulgence. While cheese and lobster aren't an usual combination, the guilty snack is something that you can't put down.

The lobster pasta salad and lobster deviled eggs are perfect for a lunch in the park or a relaxing day by the lake. These dishes make great sides for a summer barbecue or a light meal on a hot day.

The five new menu items are in addition to the traditional and non-traditional lobster rolls on the menu. From a bold Asian roll to a decadent Gold Coast roll, Da Lobsta is the un-pretenious way to enjoy lobster.

Be on the lookout for the Da Lobsta food truck around Chicago this summer. The truck will be dishing out its infamous lobster rolls and some of the summer treats.

Da Lobsta has two locations in Chicago. One in the Gold Coast on 12 E. Cedar and a second location at the Chicago French Market.
