Da Guys Paranormal Team of Kitchener, Ontario will soon be on your television in a new show called Paranormal Around The Region.
Filming for the new show on Rogers TV has already begun and will take until August of this year to complete, said team founder Mark Larocque.
“We have been talking about maybe starting a TV show with a twist for some time now and they do say that with in the first three to five years that if don't have a TV show in the works that your paranormal team will not make it that far now a days,” he noted.
“In November one of the local TV stations had an open house, and we have been on the stations shows a couple of times with some of their programmers, even News Talk 570 here in Kitchener. We found out some information that we were looking for with the station and we sent in a form with what we wanted to do.”
After meeting with station representatives in January, plans were set in motion for Mark and team co-founder Trevor Bishop to produce Paranormal Around the Region. Two others will work with them on the show: Wendy Schell behind the camera and Lorrie Hummel, also behind the camera and as an extra.
On the show, Da Guys Paranormal Team members will visit various haunted sites.
“We will be covering Stratford, Guelph, Waterloo Region to Brantford, Ontario, bringing our viewers historical information with a twist of paranormal, demonstrations of ghost hunting tools and even special guests at times such as Psychic Sally Diane, who works out of the Magic Box in Stratford and also leads Ghost Story’s at one of the hotels that DA Guys Paranormal Team had talked about in the past. Also Wanda Hewer (Jackson), founder of Ghost Hunters of Guelph.”
Mark said the team is very excited about this new undertaking.
“We are very happy to have the chance to do this as we are the first openly gay paranormal team in Ontario and what we are getting from the general public is that they are very happy for us and they can't wait till the first show airs. Most people are asking when is it going to be on. At first we did not know,” he said adding that they now know it will be on television “after the September 1st long weekend and it will be running three times daily.”
Mark said he is also looking forward to uploading the shows on YouTube as of late October so everyone can see them.
