D'Vine Wine's Night Watchman Tour is gaining steam in Grapevine. The tour begins at D'Vine Wine at 409 S. Main St., and continues down the main streets of historic downtown Grapevine, whispering tales of haunting and a darker past from the Grapevine Sun to Bonnie and Clyde. Drawn from the experiences of locals and the actual night watchman who patrolled the streets of downtown Grapevine from the beginning of the 20th century into the 1950's, and commemorated in a 600 pound statue in their likeness, these stories range from the birth of the city to recent, from mild to hair-raising.
These real stories of Grapevine's past, a stained history, tainting the currently peaceful town with tales of the angry and bloodthirsty and of heroes gunned down by notorious vandals.
Tickets for adults cost $20 and must be booked by calling D'Vine Wine at 817) 329-1011. Children 12 and under pay $10. For adults, the ticket price includes a delectable glass of wine upon return to the winery after the tour to ease those spooked nerves, and just for the pure pleasure of D'Vine Wine's most scrumptious recipes.
Tours will resume after the busy holiday season, beginning Thursday January 2nd at 6 p.m. and will be held every Thursday, Friday and Saturday after unless otherwise noted.
