American Indians have the only University that is located in California, and is not on a Indian Reservation. The College was located in North Central California, in Yolo County. It is also seven miles west of Davis and six miles east of Winters. A question still remains as to why American Indians are still being isolated and going to the main stream of colleges.

D-Q is a two year college that was founded in 1971. The University was established in 1971, and one of the first college that was located outside of the Indian Reservation. The question that most Americans do not fully understand is why they don't feel more comfortable in some other Universities. Are they being single out as not being equal to the other students. Why do they need their own University. Since they are Americans they should be offered the same opportunity as other American Students.

They have on campus housing that is available for full time students. The enrollment is probably under 500 students. Their courses are articulated and can be transferred to other schools. They have a curriculum of over 185 courses and the students can receive n AAS degree, and offered in nine academic majors.

They also have certificate programs in a variety of areas that you can find employment after completion of your studies.
