Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split, according to a Wednesday report in the New York Post. The reason for the split, though, is unclear, as one source lays the blame on Cyrus and another on Hemsworth.
It's is also unclear if the couple, who became engaged in May of last year, would stay split up. One source said,
They have broken up before, and are broken up again now. There was drama because she suspected he had a wandering eye. And she recently tweeted a denial that he cheated.
While Miley has insisted they are still together, right now they are very, very much apart.
The report comes after numerous earlier reports about a split. Cyrus was recently seen without her engagement ring. Hemsworth was seen in the back of a vehicle with January Jones, and without Cyrus anywhere in sight.
A different source said, laying the blame on Miley's partying:
Miley and Liam are done; it’s over. She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.
On March 6, as split rumors swirled, Cyrus tweeted:
I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining
my new music is gonna shut everyone up.
Since then, however, she began tweeting again.
Split or no, sources say that Cyrus isn't ready to give up on Hemsworth. One said,
Miley is a fiery character, and they do fight, but she is crazy about Liam. She isn’t ready to accept it might be over for good.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth meet for the first time while filming "The Last Song." The on-screen romance led to a real-life one.
