Cynthia Watros came on board at “The Young and the Restless” as Kelly, a grieving mother met Billy Abbott at a support meeting for parents who have lost children. After less than three months with the show, Watros is leaving to star in the MTV show “Finding Carter.”

Cynthia Watros, who once portrayed Annie Dutton on “Guiding Light”, has a lead role in the MTV show "Findng Carter" and the pilot has been picked up according to a Feb. 7 report by Celebrity Dirty Laundry. According to a “Young and the Restless” casting call, the daytime soap is looking for a blonde in her mid-30s to 40s who has been “down a difficult path in life, but is beginning again.” There has been no confirmation regarding Cynthia Watros exit from the actress. “Young and the Restless” does not usually comment on casting changes or additions until they are completed.

Some fans speculate that it was Kelly who hit and killed Delia Abbott and not Adam Newman. Kelly, who had a one night stand with Delia's father Billy, may be discovered and the role of Kelly may just be written out. Since most soap operas tape approximately six weeks in advance the writing team at "The Young and the Restless" may have some time to conclude Kelly's storyline and send the character off to jail.
