Jaki, in an interview with Polygon, said he could neither confirm nor deny if Cyberpunk 2077 would come to the next-gen consoles because “it’s too early for that,” but said the title will “most probably will” release on the Xbox One and PS4.
CD Projekt RED has expanded its development team to make sure the developer can handle the work going into Cyberpunk 2077 along with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Jaki said there’s roughly 210 staffers working on both titles, 100 people working on the “red team” focusing on The Witcher 3 and a small group working on the “black team” focusing on Cyberpunk 2077.
A “sizeable” third team is currently working on the game engine for both titles, Jaki said, and that all three teams are impressing thus far.
“I don’t want to brag or anything, but really the stuff they’ve come up with is mind-blowing,” Jaki said.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due out sometime in 2015 while The Witcher 3 launches on PC, PS4 and Xbox One next year.
