‘Cyberpunk 2077’ on PS4 and Xbox 720 controversial female character discussed (Photos)

Adam Badowski has responded to the controversial female character that was shown off in the debut trailer for the upcoming multiplatform title, “Cyberpunk 2077,” which will most likely be released for the PS4 and Xbox 720. In an interview with GamesIndustry International on March 7, the MD and studio head at CD Projekt RED disclosed that there was an overreaction of her portrayal as she is actually a strong character. He also revealed that they will show more about her with new videos in the future for the PS4 and Xbox 720 video game. You can check out some screens from the role-playing game, as well as some images of the PS4 accessories and user interface, in the slideshow at the top of this article. The comments from Adam Badowski can be found below (courtesy of GamesIndustry International):

I think some people overreacted - we had long discussions about the roles of the female characters. We have women in our writing team, so we had both sides and directions to the discussion. It's not a part of our marketing strategy. I think the female character in the teaser is a strong character - she's not just a girl. We'll probably show that later on in our next teasers and trailers. It's really not our strategy to be controversial in this way on this topic.

In addition to the PS4 and Xbox 720 consoles, “Cyberpunk 2077” will most likely also come out on the PC platform in 2015 at the earliest. CD Projekt RED is the developer behind the role-playing game.
