Cyber Monday deals are big business for retailers; shopping tips for consumers

See also

Monday morning, most online retailers sent emails to customers to explain what their Cyber Monday sale is all about. Some of the online retailers who are participating in the Cyber Monday sale include: Amazon, Walmart, Apple, Best Buy, Target, World Market, Bath and Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Coldwater Creek, Chico’s, eBay, Old Navy, The Gap, Nordstrom, Michaels, Teavana and more.

Most retailers are not only offering free shipping during their Cyber Monday sale, but deep discounts. Some retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy have specific items on sale; while others like Teavana and World Market are offering an overall sale on whatever you buy allowing consumers to choose their own sale. Teavana’s Cyber Monday sale is $25 off a $60 purchase. Coldwater Creek and Chico’s are offering 50% off everything on their websites. Bath and Body Works is offering 25% off the entire order.

Tips: Go to the website of your favorite online retailer (some links are above) and look for the Cyber Monday sale on their website to see what they are offering. Most retailers have a link on the home page. Write down any codes that must be used when you check out (for example, Bath and Body Works is using the code “HAPPYMONDAY”), including any codes needed for free shipping. Make sure your purchase is made today on Cyber Monday, because most sale items won’t be available tomorrow.
