CW’s “The Flash” costume is revealed

About a month ago, The CW revealed a first photo of Grant Gustin as The Flash. Today, the full suit has been revealed and boy it looks pretty fantastic!

Superherohype.com reports today that Oscar winner Colleen Atwood designs the “Scarlet Speedster” suit which will be seen in the upcoming “Arrow” spin-off series. The pilot director/executive producer David Nutter talks about his excitement for the series and the suit.

“I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash’s iconic suit,” Nutter said. “This would be ‘The Flash’ first live action appearance in full costume since 1990 starring John Wesley Shipp as the hero. Shipp, 59, been cast as a recurring role. The character he will be playing has not been revealed yet.

Joining Gustin in the upcoming series this fall will be Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris's father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison as Barry's mother Nora Allen, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells and Patrick Sabongui as Police Captain David Singh.

So what do you think of the new costume? Due to the highly successful series on the CW “Arrow,” is Warner Bros. trying to combine the TV world to the big screen to form a Justice League movie? Only time will tell.
