In an ideal world, we would all get regular physicals and health screenings, and as a result, be healthier. Whether it’s due to the cost of co-pays, the lack of health insurance, the fact that life is just busy, or that you’d rather not know how unhealthy you are, health screenings are sometimes the last thing on your mind.
CVS/Pharmacy is taking away any excuse you may have when it comes to getting regular health screenings. Their new “To Your Health” program, is offering free preventative health screenings at more than 800 events nationally—the first of which kicks off right here in Dallas this Saturday, March 12th. Participating adults will be offered $150 worth of free health screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density and vision. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in doctor consultations and medication reviews with a CVS pharmacist.
Getting screened is vital to your health. It’s one of the best and easiest ways to keep yourself healthy—especially when it’s free. Not only does it allow you to see just how at risk you are for certain chronic diseases but it forces you to take action to reverse or eliminate any current or future health issues. Stop avoiding the reality of the state of your health and go get screened this Saturday. Even if your numbers are less than ideal, you’ll at least be able to work towards improving your health.
