CVG international airport offers tips for holiday travelers

The Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) released a press statement on Wednesday updating some pertinent information for its travelers.

The TSA Precheck lane offers a program for customers that want to avoid removing shoes, jackets and laptops. These measures will speed travelers through security. To learn more about this program, visit the TSA website. Santa will also start his global trip at CVG. On Friday, Santa will be available to give out candy canes around the terminal and Concourses from 8 a.m. to 10 am.

Travelers can also take last minute gifts at Graeter’s Ice Cream, Natalie’s Candy Jar and Brooks Brothers. Visa gift cards are also available throughout the airport.

Gift wrapping will be available by volunteers from Honor Flight Tri-State on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and December 21 & 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Concourse B Food Court.

Honor Flight Tri-State accepts donations to send veterans to their memorials in Washington, DC.

CVG also offers free Wi-Fi and has several outlets to recharge phones and other electronics. Also remember not to bring any weapons to the airport or wrapped gifts. Security officials may open unwrapped gifts.
