FBI has finally arrested the Cuyahoga County Commissioner, Jimmy Dimora, in the early hours this morning. The County Commissioner was the highest politician who was under investigation for corruption by the FBI. The Plain Dealer reports that FBI has confirmed that arrests are being made this morning, but the FBI spokesman, Scott Wilson, did not mention any name.
Jimmy Dimora's arrest might signal the end of the two year long corruption probe in Cuyahoga County. Tens of politicians and businessmen have been arrested or indicted for corruption in Northeast Ohio during this period.
