Student life can no doubt be tough, buying books, managing loans, and even just surviving can seriously leave you without the funds to actively do fun things that cost money. The recent exciting launch of CUTTLE.COM: Your Social Amenity, the brain child of CEO Jonathan Calmus and CCO Kalman Chodakiewitz, is about to change all that. Cuttle is driven to help facilitate and support properties, residents and businesses in college communities.
Cuttle focuses on bringing communities together through the sharing of resources and collaborative goals. Acts of kindness and sharing on the site, are rewarded with Carma points (yes, spelt with a C) to earn community rewards from sponsors. For example, if a student needs an X-Box controller for the evening, they would log on to CUTTLE.COM and be able to borrow what they need from a Cuttle community member. Calmus explains his goals and what drives him, "The Social Amenity is the belief that the most exclusive and rewarding amenity of a community are the people that share it. Everything we do at Cuttle is meant to inspire the culture of being a good neighbor."
Who can argue with that?
Calmus has handpicked a brilliant team to support his mission, the team consists of Kalman Chodakiewitz (Chief Creative Officer & Co-Founder), David Govea (Chief Technical Officer), Kevin Atkinson (SVP of Community Development), Tim Ripley (Director of Community Activity), Alok Somani (Director of Operations), the lovely Virginia Marroquin (Community Specialist) and their General Counsel, Marion Brooks. The team are a well picked close-knit group which was obvious at their recent red carpet launch event in Los Angeles, which was attended by a couple of hundred investors, friends and excited supporters of this exciting brand and community network.
Major brands such as Coca-Cola, smartwater, ONEHOPE wine, Ultimat Vodka and Heineken all sponsored the successful event, the highlight of which was Calmus' moving and sincere speech to the attentive crowd. A captivating speaker, Calmus reached his audience when he spoke of Cuttle’s goals. This is just the beginning for Cuttle, through their efforts and partnerships with brands, agencies, developers, managers, owners and students, they are creating a platform dedicated to making a positive change in the world.
