Ever–groundbreaking Crystal Cruises has done it again. This time the innovative, Los Angeles, California-based luxury line has announced the edition of females to its popular Ambassador Hosts program. Much like the men, the women will provide an arm for dinner, dancing and shows.

The ladies, who will debut on three Ballroom at Sea Experiences of Discovery voyages in 2014 and 2015, will join in with the eight male dance hosts (double the usual number), to accompany solo passengers in cha chas, waltzes, dance classes and other onboard activities.

The trilogy includes the following sailings:

· October 5, 2014, Lisbon to Miami, Crystal Symphony (10 days)

· June 12, 2015, New York to London, Crystal Symphony (16 days)

· December 11, 2015, Lisbon to Miami, Crystal Serenity (11 days)

“Thanks to the suggestion of one of our popular dance instructors, we tested Ambassador Hostesses on a recent cruise and the response was fantastic,” says Bret Bullock, vice president of entertainment. “Similar to tennis players who play better when they play with a pro, dance enthusiasts are inspired by partnering with experts who really know the steps and the more advanced nuances.”

The Ambassador Hosts program debuted along with the cruise line in 1994 and continues to be a popular onboard amenity with both ships (Serenity and Symphony) sporting at least four hosts on select voyages and more when needed. “A Crystal cruise is so inherently comfortable and luxurious for a single traveler,” adds Bullock. “But no matter how independent one is, one cannot ballroom dance without a partner.”

Crystal offers attractive Book Now fares that are good until April 30, 2014 and include the upcoming Ballroom at Sea cruises with rates starting as low as $2,595 per person.
