Valentine’s Day is only ten days away and more and more homes in Spokane are featuring the cat angel cup on their tables to mark the romantic event. These cups are very easy to make, equally inexpensive and can be saved for next year. You can use them for pencil, cotton ball, cotton swab or office supplies holders. They really don’t need to be put away after Valentine’s Day either. Love is for every day of the year.
The items you will need to make these enchanting cups are 9 ounce paper cups, sparkling heart gems, colorful chenille stems, construction paper, heart-shaped lollipops crystal gems for eyes and a glue gun.
Cut out the wing shapes from the construction paper and glue them to each side of the cup.
Glue heart jewels on the wings.
Punch out a hole in the bottom of the cup and stick the lollipop handle through the hole.
Stick on the eyes.
Make ears from the construction paper and glue them to the top of the cup.
Cut a chenille stem in half and wrap the halves around a pencil to make them wavy. Attach them to the back of the lollipop
Make whiskers from chenille stems and glue them on the cup.
Make a small nose from the construction paper.
You can make your own variation of this design as creativity strikes you.
You’ll want to make several of these cups, some for the office and some for home.
They make great little giveaways. They make wonderful party favors. You can even drink from them if you opt to not decorate with the lollipop
